During the weekend, my family went for a drive just outside of Nelson because my Uncle is trying to get a truck driving job but it is not in Christchurch. I am very excited for his family to come.
We also stopped off at a parking lot just outside of Hamner Springs and had a burger that my mum had made in the morning. We also saw the bridge that the people do bungee jumping. We also saw the little town's school it looked like it only had 2 classrooms. I only counted ten houses.
After that we started to head back to Christchurch, on the way back I wrote a story with ten random words that my sister gave me. I also had a half an hour nap in the car. I also jammed out to some music. I did some reading to.
When we got back home to Christchurch my mum made dinner. I am happy that I got to spend time with my family.

A great recount Gabby, full of clear events and things that you did. I think you should make sure you don't repeat a word in a sentence or a following sentence for example: 'We also...' and then 'we also...'. rather you could write 'then we...'
