Visual mihi

Last week we started a work of art with different spaces. We filled the spaces up with things we like, our mountain, a koru for each person in our family and a flag from our country. Why do you draw mountains? We drew the mountains because it represents were we come from we also drew a river for the same reason as the mountains to represent were we come from. Then in a different space we did korus for each person in our family I drew four because there are four people in my family. Then in a different space we did a flag from what country's we come from or where your family comes from I did the South African and the New Zealand flag. We also drew things we liked. We also made an avater to stick on. I drew food because I like food, a laughing emoji because I love to laugh, the CSG logo because I like trampolineing

Camp recount

                              SCHOOL CAMP
Last week on Wednesday room 1 went to Hanmer Springs for a school camp. There were seven parents  that went. We went for a school camp and to build new friendships and have a good time.

After the long drive to Hanmer Springs, we went to the campsite and had lunch. I had popcorn and pretzels. Then we went for a drive up this huge hill and got the cars very dusty. We were meant to walk up the hill, but Miss Holland got it wrong. So Miss Holland just did a different walk on a conical hill and to top it all off it was a scorching hot day.  When we got to the top of the hill, we got some biscuits. Then we walked back down and walked back to the campsite. Once we got to the campsite, we offloaded all the bags.


Then we got our cabin keys and got changed into our togs. After we got changed, we went back into our cars and drove down to the Hanmer Springs pool. First one worker gave us a briefing and told us what pools we could go in and what pools we couldn't  go in. Corina and I went to the hydro slides and went on the new hydro slide CRONICAL THRILL. It was a very long way up but when we eventually got up, and it was so fun. There were a lot of twists and turns but at the end was very scary because you get a lot of air time. After that we went to the big pool and made some bombs into the pool. Then after about 2 and a half hours we got changed into our clothes and went back to camp. When we got back to the campsite, we played some games like capture the flag and hide and seek. Until the parents called us in and we had dinner. We had pies, mashed potatoes and salad. Then we packed up the dishes, and the parents set up dessert while the children changed into our pjs and played capture the flag again, and then we had dessert. Then it got dark, so we got our keys and went to our cabin and got our torches to play spotlight but Axl, Trinity, my dad george and me didn't play spotlight so we just played uno and I was so close to winning but then Axl put down a pick up four so I didn't win.  After a few more games of uno, I finally won and bet Axl. But then came my extremity noisy class after spotlight. Then Miss Holland told us we only had five minutes until we had to go to our cabins and go to sleep. So we played one more game of uno and guess who won ME! Then Miss Holland told us we had 1 minute to get to our cabins and go to sleep so everyone sprinted to get their keys and got to bed but me and my cabin buddy got our key and took a nice walk to our cabin. When we got in our cabin we set up our beds and talked until 9:30 then Miss Holland told everyone to go to sleep so we could wake up refreshed for all our activity for tomorrow. So we went to sleep.
In conclusion, I loved camp, and it was one of my favourites. Next time I think we could do a few more activities.
