My Trampolining explanation

                                                                Trampolining
My Explanation…
Intro…

Trampolining is an Olympic sport that involves people jumping on a trampoline and doing routines. It is popular around the world and many children have trampolines in their backyards.

History

The name ‘Trampoline’ came from the Spanish word ‘trampolín’, meaning a ‘diving board’. That is why trampolines are extremely bouncy. It was initially used to train tumblers and astronauts and as a training tool to develop and hone acrobatic skills for other sports such as diving, gymnastics and freestyle skiing. China made the sport popular because they started using trampolines for gymnastics. Nissen invented the trampoline in the 1930s, when, as a teenage gymnast, he and his coach created a piece of equipment out of scrap steel and tire inner tubes for his act in the Iowa Hawkeyes Circus. This gave Nissen the power to leap into a back somersault. He showed off his invention with a kangaroo. He also went trampolining on top of a pyramid!

As a Sport

Trampolining became a sport in 2000 at the summer Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. There are badges that you earn if you improve your routines which include: red, blue, green, Yellow, Purple, Black, orange and Brown. Outside of the Olympics, competitions are referred to as GymSport, or Gymnastics, which includes the events of Trampoline, Synchronized Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline & tumbling. The world's largest trampoline is actually several trampolines connected.

Highest

The highest trampoline bounce by a team is 6.73 m (22 ft 1 in) and was achieved by jumper Sean Kennedy and propellers Sean Kennedy and T.J. Kennedy (all USA) on the set of NBC TV show. It was done in New York.

Conclusion:

Trampolining is a popular sport around the world. There are many opportunities to join a club and try the experience.

TikTok explanation

WALT: Write an explanation

Success Criteria
*Has correct structure
*Relates to the topic
*Ends with a concluding statement

Intro
What is it? - Definition

Tik Tok (previously known as Musical.ly) is one of the most popular apps ever, it is a platform designed for creating, sharing and discovering 15-60 second long videos which people use to express themselves. It is known for the use of popular songs being lip-synced to, dancing, comedy acts, story-times and POV’s (point of views).

Body
Description

Where did it come from and who created it?

The app Musical.ly was bought in November 2017 by Chinese developer ByteDance, for markets outside of China. In August 2018 they merged with the app VideoStar and rebranded the app to TikTok. TikTok is not available in China however the app Douiyn is the TikTok equivalent app in China, and its servers are based in countries where the app is available. TikTok owner ByteDance is a $75 billion Chinese tech giant. At the beginning of 2019 it had 188 million new users.

Who uses it and how did it become successful?

TikTok is available in 154 countries worldwide with 500 million users. 41% of users are aged between the age of 16-24, 55.6% of users are Male and 44.4% are female. India has many users (which is interesting because it is banned in India), and accounts for approximately 25% of app downloads. TikTok is intended for 13+ users according to the app's community guidelines. The app can be safe for teens with proper parental guidance. It is successful because social media is a big thing these days and young people are embracing it because it is easy to use and entertaining.

It became successful due to the rise of social media through the use of phones and devices. TikTok’s success is largely due to the popularity of Musical.ly. It is currently the most popular app in the USA with over 26 million monthly active users. There are many famous people that use the app such as; Britney Spears, Will Smith, Gordon Ramsay and The Rock. These famous celebrities bring attention to the app from their reputations and fan following.

Where and why did it get banned?

TikTok has been banned in two different countries; India and Indonesia. In both countries the governments felt that it encouraged inappropriate content and was targeting youth and children. Both countries rescinded the bans after TikTok implemented safety protocols and age verification policies. Currently TikTok is not banned in any countries.

How do you use it?

1. Download the app and sign up.

2. Set up your profile.

3. View the video feed.

4. Like, comment, or share videos you enjoy.

5. Search for videos.

6. Follow users via videos. search, or TikCode. (Every profile has a code that can be used to copy and paste and it will take the user to their profile.)

7. Set up your shot and pick out special effects.

8. Record the video.

9. Post the video (to the public or to your friends) or save it to your drafts.

Conclusion

TikTok is an educational and entertainment app and you can learn from the videos and enjoy them. TikTok is one of the most popular and most used social media apps currently in the world. Give it a try and see if you like it.

My comment is that Tiktok can be a good and bad app. It can teach you good dances but also can post things that you weren't meant to but you can also delete it. You can also choose  your own username.

During the weekend, my family went for a drive just outside of Nelson because my Uncle is trying to get a truck driving job but it is not in Christchurch. I am very excited for his family to come.

We also stopped off at a parking lot just outside of Hamner Springs and had a burger that my mum had made in the morning. We also saw the bridge that the people do bungee jumping. We also saw the little town's school it looked like it only had 2 classrooms. I only counted ten houses.

After that we started to head back to Christchurch, on the way back I wrote a story with ten random words that my sister gave me. I also had a half an hour nap in the car. I also jammed out to some music. I did some reading to.

When we got back home to Christchurch my mum made dinner. I am happy that I got to spend time with my family.

Gabbys paragraphs

WALT: Use PARAGRAPHS

Subject of paragraph:Trampolining

Personal goal:punctuation
Socks
When you do trampolining you should wear white soul socks because when you jump you have to jump high and the white soul socks will protect your feet. If you are going to go to a competition, remember to stay calm and remember your white socks.

Trampolining
When you do trampolining you have to have you hands in the right space, if you do not, you could hurt yourself and do the wrong moment. If you start trampolining you have a choice to do synchronised or just normal. You could also go to the Olympics for both. I do normal trampolining, which is when you do trampolining by yourself.

On the trampoline there is a box, remember to stay in the middle of the trampoline because if you don't you will go flying off the trampoline and hurt yourself (maybe even break a bone).

Team
If you have teamwork, you can support each other and have some fun days out together. If you listen to your coach you can do better things, learn more and do your best. Here are the names of some people that go to the Olympics for team trampolining: Rosie MacLennan, Dong Dong and Karan Cockburn. If you are in a professional team you should have matching outfits so that you represent  your team.

stretching and conditioning
At the end of your session you might do stretching and conditioning. Stretching and conditioning can help your legs be stretched and they won't be painful the next day. Conditioning will work your tummy and also help your tummy get stronger. Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it the muscles shorten and become tight, then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they will be weak and unable to extend all the way.

Here is my paragraphs on trampolining I have tried to improve my writing.
Please leave a comment thank you.
